MUZAFFARGARH: Five members of a family were found murdered at a house on Tuesday at Chah Mastuiwala in city police precincts, some 100-km from here.

Reports said police found bodies of three children, a man and a woman. The throats of the woman and three children have been cut with a sharp weapon while hands of the man were tied.

The deceased have been identified as Imran (32), his wife Saira (27), daughters Hasna (7), Hasiba (5) and Haniya (3).

Alipur DSP Munawar Buzdar said police had shifted the bodies to hospital for autopsy. Police have registered a case.

Meanwhile, the IG Punjab has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the Dera Ghazi Khan regional police officer.

FOUNDER OF MUZAFFARGARH: Under the auspices of Haqooq Muzaffargarh Tehreek, martyrdom day of Nawab Muzaffar Ali Shaheed will be observed on June 2.

The event will feature speeches on the life of Nawab Muzaffar Ali. Dr Altaf Khan Saduzai, a scion of the Muzaffar Ali family, will be the special guest at the event.
