LAHORE: Unidentified men reportedly kidnapped a trader of Sarafa Bazaar from Shadbagh area late on Wednesday.

A police official said Yousaf Khan was going to a local market along with his shop employee on a motorcycle when some unidentified men who came by a car intercepted him and held him up at gunpoint. He said the attackers bundled Yousaf Khan into the car and drove away.

The association of the traders later lodged a protest and asked the police high-ups to recover the trader and arrest the suspects.

The official said a team of the Shadbagh police launched investigation after lodging a kidnap case.

The CCTV footages were being obtained to get a lead, he said adding that the police were also trying to reach the family to obtain any information to help trace the kidnappers.
