MUZAFFARGARH: An illegal stockpile of 400,000 maunds of wheat was recovered from the Boota Flour Mills in Layyah on Sunday.

Layyah Deputy Commissioner Shahbaz Hussain Naqvi has sealed the mill. According to food officials, the Karor Lal Esan assistant commissioner (AC) visited the Boota Flour Mills to check the stock of wheat with the assistant food controller and found the stock was 400,0000 maunds there.

The AC submitted his report to the DC Layyah for strict action, who ordered DFC Abid Chishti to suspend Boota Mills’ food grain license.

FREE LUNCH: The Railways administration with the Khawaja Jalaluddin Rumi Foundation has opened a free meal facility at the Multan railway station for the passengers and porters (coolies).

Industrialist Khawaja Jalaluddin Rumi and Railway Deputy DS Saima Bashir inaugurated Mehr Fatima Dastarkhwan on Sunday.

The facility will feed 200 passengers and porters on a daily basis.

The dastarkhwan will be extended to Saho Chowk where more than 500 people will be fed.
