PESHAWAR: Telha Foundation, a non-profit organisation, plans to establish a hospital in Karak district to provide emergency, trauma and gynaecology services to the patients free of cost.

The foundation is already providing dialysis services to the patients suffering from kidney diseases.

“We have provided free dialysis services to 5,010 deserving patients in addition to paying even travelling expenses to some of the very poor patients,” Mohammad Roshan, director of the foundation, said in a press release. He said that free dialysis had been started over a year ago.

Mr Roshan said that the foundation had started a facility in Fateh Sheri Chowk of Karak district to provide free dialysis to the deserving patients. “In view of the rapidly spreading renal ailments, we are going to expand services to help more patients, who couldn’t afford the cost of dialysis and other investigations required.”

He said the foundation was also planning to open a state-of-the-art welfare hospital soon where emergency, gynaecology and trauma facilities would be provided to the people round-the-clock.

He requested the philanthropists to generously donate to ensure free healthcare facilities to the critically-ill patients.

According to him, the foundation also planned to start an awareness programme regarding preventive measures as many health problems could be avoided through scaling up precautionary measures. He said investigation and treatment cost of kidney disease were very expensive, therefore, the well-off people should help the needy patients and save their lives.
