QUETTA: Police on Saturday arrested two suspects in connection with the killing of five people in the Sariab Road area of the provincial capital.

Police officials said the suspects were held during a raid conducted on their hideout. They were identified as Abdul Razzaq and Abdul Ghani, both residents of Kali Khali.

Giving background, police said that some gunmen had opened fire on a car in the Sariab area in January, killing five people travelling in the car.

The suspects were handed over to a special team for interrogation, a senior police official said.

Police claimed to have recovered a 9mm pistol with extra magazine and 12 rounds from the suspects.
