KARACHI: A recklessly driven dumper ran over two young men in Federal B Area, police said on Saturday.

Jauharabad SHO Imran Afridi said that men were riding a motorbike when the dumper hit them at Ayesha Manzil flyover. They suffered critical injuries and died while being taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where they were identified as Jamaludin, 30, and Israr Ahmed, 22.

The driver managed to escape leaving behind the vehicle. However, the incident sparked a violent protest as enraged people set the dumper on fire.
