KARACHI: A judicial magistrate on Monday granted bail to a sitting Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf lawmaker held for his alleged involvement in sexually assault a woman.

On Sunday, police had arrested the lawmaker from his Clifton apartment.

Judicial Magistrate (West) Rafique Ahmed granted him post-arrest bail against a surety of Rs10,000.

The court also issued a notice to the prosecutor and the investigating officer for July 4 to file their comments on the bail plea.
