MUZAFFARGARH: Three persons, including two siblings, died and one was injured when lightning struck at two places in Kot Addu tehsil on Monday.

Rescue 1122 received a call that two boys, eight-year-old Zohaib and 17-year-old Shahid, sons of Ashraf, a resident of Shadi Khan Munda village, were struck by lightning and both of them were lying unconscious.

When the rescuers arrived at the scene, both the boys were unconscious. They shifted the boys to the Kot Addu Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where the doctors pronounced them dead.

In another incident, a woman was cooking food in the Sanawan area when lightning struck her and she died on the spot. She was identified as Shamshad.

Another member of her family was injured.
