MUZAFFARGARH: Shah Jamal police arrested a man on Thursday on charge of raping his own daughter.

The suspect’s wife of 17 years alleged that her husband with whom she had seven children had raped their daughter at home. She also released her video statement and approached the Shah Jamal Police Station for registration of a first information report. After registration of the case, police arrested the suspect.

SEALED: Thirteen hotels were sealed while 15 general stores were fined in the district for violating the energy conservation plan.

City Assistant Commissioner Khwaja Umair Mahmood said the orders of the Punjab government would be fully implemented to save energy. He said the price control magistrates would continue the crackdown in the city on a daily basis.
