BAHAWALPUR: The Jamaat-i-Islami will launch a train march from Rahim Yar Khan to Rawalpindi to register protest against inflation and price hike on Saturday (today).

JI South Punjab Naib Emir Syed Zeeshan Akhtar told a press conference here on Friday that the train march would begin through 1-Up Khyber Mail and pass through Khanpur, Liaquatpur, Sammasatta, Bahawalpur and Shujaabad and culminate at the Multan Cantonment railway station.

He said JI Emir Sirajul Haq was expected to address the train march participants at the Bahawalpur railway station.

The second phase of the train march would begin from the Multan Cantonment railway station on June 26 and the participants would have an overnight stay in Lahore. The next day, he said, the train would go pass Shahdara, Gujranwala, Wazirabad, Gujrat, Lalamusa and Jhelum and would reach Rawalpindi.
