RAHIM YAR KHAN: Two persons have been kidnapped by the outlaws’ gangs in two incidents in the district.

According to reports, one Yar Muhammad Dahir was sleeping at his Jam Nadir farm near Malik Mor in the Ahmedpur Lama Police Station when the outlaws kidnapped him and took away to the Katcha (riverine) area.

Another man, identified as Mashooq, was also kidnapped by the robbers’ gang from the limits of the Sonmiani Police Station near the border of Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur.

Kidnap-for-ransom cases are on the rise in the area. Sher Muhammad Sahi, a journalist associated with PTV News, was kidnapped by the outlaws a week back and he had not been released yet. There were some reports that the kidnappers were demanding a huge ransom amount for his release.

The business community as well as common people have expressed strong reservations about the worsening law and order situation in the district.
