ISLAMABAD: Robbers and thieves looted cash and valuables in 18 strikes in the capital, police said on Tuesday.

In the first incident, three robbers intercepted Rizwan Basharat in front of a bank on G.T. Road and looted Rs500,000 cash from him at gunpoint, they said.

Four armed men intercepted Wisal Muslim and his friend at Golra station and deprives them a motorcycle, Rs23,000, a Samsung J6, a Note 11, a Nokia, registration book of the motorcycle, and ATM card from them at gunpoint.

Likewise, two culprits armed with weapons intercepted Samir Ahmed and his friend on Srinagar Highway and looted Rs37,000 cash and a mobile phone from them at gunpoint, the police said, adding that a gang of two robbers intercepted Zaobia Noreen and her father in the area of Koral when she was going to Comsats from Ghori Town and looted Rs13,300 cash.

Moreover, some unidentified burglars broke into a house of Sardar Moazam, a government official, in G-11/4 and made off with gold ornaments weighing 16tolas, cash Rs2.7millions and prize bonds.

Meanwhile, a car was stolen from G-9/4, while another from Weekly Bazaar H-9, the police said, adding that 11 motorcycles, were stolen from G-7, CDA Hospital parking, Blue Area, F-11/4, I-10, weekly bazaar G-6, Ghauri Town, Motorway Chowk, and G-7/4.
