ABBOTTABAD: Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Qaiser Rasheed Khan has said that sufficient and secure accommodation to house courts and allied offices would facilitate the speedy dispensation of justice to citizens.

He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Tehsil Judicial Complex, Havelian, here on Monday.

Judges of the Peshawar High Court, Abbottabad Bench, district and sessions judges from Hazara, officers of the district administration, office-bearers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council, high court, district and tehsil bar associations and a large number of lawyers attended the ceremony.

Executive engineer communication and works department briefed the chief justice about the project. He said the estimated cost of the project was Rs149.9 million while its bid cost was Rs110.7 million and technical sanction valued at Rs149.3 million.

The complex houses four courtrooms, offices, a bar room, public lavatories, waiting areas for men and women and one residence for judicial officer.

District and sessions judge, Abbottabad, thanked the chief justice for gracing the occasion with his presence.

The presidents of high court, district and tehsil bar associations also expressed their gratitude to the chief justice for making the Tehsil Judicial Complex, Havelian functional on an urgent basis.
