Eragon author confirms Disney+ series adaptation

Author Christopher Paolini says a Disney+ series adaptation of the Eragon is in the works.

“It’s true — an Eragon television series is in development at Disney+, and I’m attached to both co-write and produce!” he wrote. “And yes, I’m extremely excited for what the future holds.”

Paolini said the adaptation “has been a long time coming” and thanked fans for their support over the years.

Eragon is the first novel in Paolini’s The Inheritance Cycle fantasy book series. Eragon follows the title character, Eragon, a farm boy who finds and hatches a dragon, Saphira.

Aquaman sequel to have Ben Affleck as Batman

Recently, Jason Momoa revealed Bruce Wayne is back for the Aquaman sequel.

Momoa revealed the news on Instagram, after fans on a Warner Bros. bus tour apparently caught wind that Affleck was there filming with him.

Affleck previously announced his retirement as Batman in 2019, and has been open about personal and professional strife that came with the role. So, it came as a surprise two years ago when it was revealed Affleck was suiting up once more for The Flash, the Ezra Miller starring film due out June 23, 2023, and that will also feature Michael Keaton as Batman.

It was assumed that would be Affleck’s final time in the role, but now he is poised to return earlier with Lost Kingdom arriving March 17, 2023.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel in 2023

It has been confirmed that Ghosttbuster: Afterlife is coming on June 8, 2023 on ‘Ghostbusters Day’. The new film will return to the franchise’s original New York City and Firehouse setting.

“At the end of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the Ecto-1 is driving into Manhattan, returning to its home. And before anyone ever heard the title Afterlife, we called it Rust City. Which would not have made sense to anyone until they saw the movie. The code name for the next movie is Firehouse,” it was recently announced.

The Ghostbusters franchise originated with the 1984 film Ghostbusters, directed by the late Ivan Reitman. The movie was followed by the 1989 sequel Ghostbusters II, the 2016 reboot Ghostbusters, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which opened in November.
