KARACHI, Jan 28: Rawalpindi conceded a first innings lead of 67 runs to Sialkot on the third day of the Quaid Trophy Grade-I fixture Jinnah Stadium in Sialkot Monday.

Rawalpindi, 221 for seven overnight, were dismissed for 299 despite an 89-run eighth-wicket stand between Yasir Arafat (58 off 91 balls, 11 fours) and skipper Naeem Akhtar (41 off 60 balls, seven fours).

Tahir Mughal, a right-arm paceman, claimed all three Pindi wickets Monday to finish with six for 83.

Sialkot, who made 366 in their first innings, extended their overall lead to 158 by closing the day at 91 for one in their second knock.
