Physics, it’s all around us!

This is regarding the article “Physics, it’s all around us!” by M. Shaheer Ghaznavi (YW, August 20). The article was amazing. I have always found physics as the most boring subject, but the way the writer pointed out the essence of the topic to us, I was able to think about it from a different angle.

However, if the writer had given more examples from our daily life related to physics, many kids would have developed more interest in the subject.

Can we survive without gravity?

This is with reference to the article “Can we survive without gravity?” by Aimen Zehra (YW, August 13). I enjoyed reading the article as the topic was different and made me wonder what would happen if gravity vanishes suddenly.

Of course, there will be nothing left; it also made me realise the privileges that we have on this planet. Everything is perfectly in order, I wish things remain the same and all humans work together in saving the environment from harm.

Pandemic diaries

This is regarding the article “Pandemic diaries” by Sara Syed (YW, August 6). The article reminded me of the peak days of the pandemic, when we were confined to our houses. It all felt like we in a sci-fi thriller movie, but upon realising that nothing was artificial and everything was real, our mind could not accept it and wanted desperately to come out of that movie.

Thankfully, those days passed and we are out of social isolation. The writer expressed everything that I think all of us went through and I agree that Covid-19 will stay with us for a very long time.

However, there is a positive side to the pandemic; it made the world realise the value and worth of relationships, health, food, education and gatherings, that were earlier taken for granted.

Beware of beaches in the monsoon

This is with reference to the story “Beware of beaches in the monsoon” by Hana Marfani (YW, August 6). The story is a lesson for all readers to be really careful at the beaches, especially in the monsoon season when the winds suddenly get strong, leading to strong currents and waves that can drag people into the sea with them.

Fun and enjoyment is our basic right, but taking care of ourselves and the people we love is our responsibility. So kids, no matter how much you are tempted by the waves, always stay close to your family and remain at the shore.
