Imran to give call for Islamabad once floods recede: Sheikh Rashid

Former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said on Sunday that PTI chief Imran Khan would “give the call for Islamabad” once the floods, that have ravaged the country and displaced millions, recede.
Taking to Twitter, Rashid said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) had made yet another agreement with the government for Rs608 billion. “First they robbed the treasury and now the people’s pockets,” he said.
“The floods have opened the eyes of the people of Sindh […] the floods have destroyed the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) reputation. How will other countries give aid when the people of the country refuse to give money to money launderers?”
He said that the people could not bear the burden of increasing petrol and power prices, yet the government continued to raise them. “Imran Khan will give the call for Islamabad once the floods recede,” he concluded.
Rashid’s statement comes a day after the PTI chief warned the government that he had been tolerating “excesses” against his party for four months and said if he announced a march on Islamabad then the government would have nowhere to hide.
Addressing a rally in Bahawalpur on Saturday, Imran had warned the government to stop using “pressure tactics” against him as his patience was running thin.

There are visible chances that Sheikh Rashid may become PM of Pakistan after next general election scheduled to be held in 2023 if he becomes approver against all wrong doings of Imran Khan and PTI in cases pending in the courts.
Sheikh Rashid have previously held several times portfolios of federal ministers and now is the time to activate his own political party Awami Muslim League so that he should sweep next general elections from entire country and should thus will become PM of Pakistan.

It’s not water receded down, it’s the rehabilitation of masses from miseries,destructions,deaths &building of infrastructure .That will take at least 4 years ,at present elections r not immediate needs of Pakistanis.

Imran will give call once alluvium rich areas will yield amazing production in agriculture sector. Since that will take a while after water recedes and everything is in prime situation, most likely Imran would've had overcome his ban of 5 years by then and would be appealing the lifetime ban before marching on Islamabad. Seems like an excellent plan given the circumstances.

@Ba Akhlaq, Imran Khan had thin majority with crutches of few legislators/ other parties. His announcement for fresh elections shouldn’t have been altered, that was the turning point. After SC brooms aside the PTI, Imran got mountains of sympathies, the devaluation, inflation, gave added advantage. Now situation to 360 degrees, he’s going to get absolute majority, no matter Elections held today, tomorrow, or later.

@Dr Ahmad - Melbourne , after privilege, neutrality feels like oppression to the privileged. its so true for pti. the same neutrals pti loved a lot when they were in their favor. now that they are not all of a sudden they remember fairness. pti still has it better than pml 4 years ago. tv channels were banned from showing sharif or maryam, yet khan is on every single channel while he lies through his teeth.
