LAHORE: The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) has rehabilitated and energised Dadu-Khuzdar transmission line restoring power supply to various parts of Balochistan.

The line was damaged by the landslides caused by massive rains, collapsing one of the line’s towers and suspending the power supply to various parts of the province.

According to a spokesman, the team remained at the site day and night to monitor the rehabilitation works of the transmission line located in difficult terrain.

“However, all available resources were utilized to complete work despite multiple challenges like no access road, non-availability of heavy machinery, no communication service, the crossing of flood water and continuous landslide, etc,” he explained in a press release issued on Monday.

The rehabilitation of the Sibbi-Quetta transmission line is also underway these days on a war footing.
