MUZAFFARGARH: A prayer leader has allegedly tortured a seminary student and made him sit in a street with chains in feet for not collecting donation in Alipur tehsil.

Police recovered the student after the video of inhuman treatment went viral on social media and registered a case against the instructor. Police also got the information that Khadim Hussain had injured Ramzan and made him sit outside the seminary with his feet in chains. A team rescued the boy and took him to hospital for medical checkup. They registered the case against the instructor.

Additional IG South Punjab Dr Ehsan Sadiq took notice of the incident and ordered police to arrest the suspect. Police said the student’s father was reluctant to have a case registered against the prayer leader.
