ISLAMABAD: Leading corporates in the country stepped in to provide relief to flood victims.
Telenor Pakistan, along with its parent company, Telenor Group, has pledged Rs1.1 billion in cash and in-kind services to support nationwide flood relief efforts.
Telenor’s cash donation comprises voluntary contributions from Telenor Pakistan and Telenor Microfinance Bank employees and funds from Telenor Pakistan and the Group. Besides, Telenor Pakistan made a cash donation of Rs100 million to Unice Pakistan to support them in relief efforts by providing life-saving nutrition and hygiene packs in affected areas on an immediate basis.
As an initial contribution to the flood relief effort in Pakistan, Atlas Group and Honda announced Rs 220 million in support for flood relief efforts.
Flood victims are being provided food boxes, shelters, tents, and water filtration units through the 10,000 touch points of Atlas Honda motorcycle dealers.
Meanwhile, Carrefour Pakistan has extended support to the flood victims with food donations, which includes 150,000 meals, supporting 5,000 families for 10 days.
