There are two kinds of people in the world — those who like to drink milk and those who don’t. Today I have the recipe of the perfect milk drink that will be enjoyed by both milk lovers and haters, and it will fulfil all your minerals and vitamins needs, and the drink is Milo ice cream shake.

There is no reason that a Milo or any other milky drink should be boring like we usually make it by just dissolving the power in milk. It can be made as luxurious and delicious as any milkshake you pay big bucks to buy, and at a fraction of the amount.

The add-on ingredients I have used are vanilla ice cream, a small milk chocolate bar and some chocolate chips, to not deviate too much from the original chocolaty malt taste. You can substitute with your favourite flavour of the powder tonic you like adding to your milk, and add much more to it such as crushed nuts, chocolate syrup, jelly, marshmallow, peanut butter, fresh fruits — the sky is the limit.

This simple nutritious milk will not just make your morning tastier as you head for school, but it can also be a cool way to chill out on hot summer afternoons.

Ingredients

• 3 heaped teaspoons Milo powder
• 200ml milk
• 3-4 scoops vanilla ice cream
• 20 g milk chocolate
• 1 tablespoon chocolate chips
• Ice cubes

I have used an electric blender to make this, you can simply use a spoon to mix everything directly into the glass or mug you are going to drink this in.

Put the Milo powder in the blender jar, add the milk chocolate, milk and a scoop of any ice cream of your favourite flavour. I am using vanilla ice cream here.

Blend for a minute until well mixed. Pour into a serving glass or mug, top with ice cream scoops and finally sprinkle some chocolate chips. Your Milo ice cream shake is ready!
