TAXILA: Four people were killed in separate incidents in Attock and Taxila, police said on Tuesday.

In the first incident, a man strangled his wife and teenage daughter to death in Mohallah Karbala in the jurisdiction of Attock police station.

Quoting family members, police said the suspect strangled his wife Hakeema Bibi, mother of five and 17-year-old daughter Zarlush Bibi over a domestic dispute and then escaped. Later, neighbours saw the bodies and informed the police.

Upon getting information, police shifted the bodies to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital and registered a case under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

In another incident, a teenage girl was shot dead over a land dispute near Bhadian village in the jurisdiction of Hassanabdal police station.

According to police, Afsana was going travelling on a rickshaw with her mother after attending hearing of a case at a local court complex when her rivals on a motorcycle intercepted them and shot the girl.

The suspects managed to escape from the scene.

Quoting family sources of the victim, police said the woman was in litigation with her rivals over occupation of her land.

Separately, the driver of an online taxi service was shot dead near Bajjarpur on Thatta Khalil Road in the jurisdiction of Taxila police station.

Syed Qammar Abbas reported to police that his 28-year-old brother Syed Kosar Abbas worked with an online taxi service. He said his car was booked for Taxila and when it reached Bajarpur on Thatta Khalil Road, some unknown persons shot him.
