HARIPUR: The tehsil council here has approved 50 per cent increase in monthly rent of the tehsil municipal administration’s shops and commercial property so it could meet its expenditure.

About the ongoing financial crisis faced by tehsil municipal administration (TMA), the members pointed out that the monthly rent of its commercial property and shops was much less than the market rates and the raise in the rent was the only solution to meet its financial needs.
