ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has set up an online store, with more in the pipeline, to sell its merchandise, ranging from t-shirts and caps to mugs and key chains.

The party made an announcement in this regard through its social media account and urged people to shop from there.

“We are proud to launch #PTIMerchandise Marketplace where we will feature 3rd party vendors who are selling PTI branded merchandise such as T-Shirts, Kurtas, Flags, Bottles, Mugs, Caps, Mufflers, etc. Please check the marketplace at https://insaf.pk/news/pti-marke,” a tweet from PTI’s official account stated.

It also said that two more online stores would be launched soon.

The party’s website announces: “Welcome to PTI Official Merchandise Store”, but at the same time it mentioned that the stores were not owned by the PTI.

“We are endorsing these third party stores after their commitment of excellent customer service and good quality products,” it stated.

Talking to Dawn, PTI legislator Ali Nawaz Awan said the party had no commercial benefit behind the online store.

“According to my opinion, the PTI has allowed the online store to further reach out to people and increase its overwhelming popularity. If the party had wanted to earn, it could have done so through monetisation of social media accounts,” he added.

The products which will be available on the online store include t-shirts, with slogans printed on them, kurtas having pictures of Imran Khan, flags, bottles, mugs, caps, mufflers and so on.
