QUETTA: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has issued a no-objection certificate to the University of Turbat for launching new Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Philosophy programmes.

The Quality Assurance Division of the HEC has affirmed that the university has met the minimum requirements and standards set by the commission to launch a PhD programme in Balochi, and MPhil and PhD programmes in Biochemistry.

Calling it a great achievement for the university, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Jan Mohammad said all possible measures would be taken to promote higher and advanced studies in the university.
