KARACHI: A suspected robber was lynched in the Metroville-III area on Thursday night.

Sachal SHO Mazhar Iqbal said a man, Mr Arshad, was standing outside his house in Metroville-III when three suspected robbers tried to loot him. The man along with area residents put up resistance and caught hold of one of the suspects. The other two managed to escape.

The mob shot at and beat up the suspect, aged around 40. He died during the episode.

The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The police took into custody two pistols and one stolen motorcycle, left at the crime scene by the suspects.
