GWADAR: One person was gunned down by unidentified men in the Turbat town of Kech district on Thursday.

Officials said two armed motorcyclists opened fire on a man in the Star Plus market area near the PTCL colony in Turbat town, killing the victim on the spot. The assailants managed to flee the site.

Police officials rushed to the site after the incident and shifted the body to district hospital.

The deceased was identified as Muhammad Javed, a resident of Punjab’s Lodhran district.

The police have termed the incident an act of targeted killing. No one was immediately arrested and investigation into the incident was under way.
