Imran’s helicopter makes emergency landing

RAWALPINDI: A helicopter in which Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was traveling made an emergency landing near Adiala village, some 20 kilometres away from the Rawalpindi city area, on Saturday after developing some technical fault.
The PTI chairman, who was returning to the capital after addressing a public meeting at Dera Ismail Khan in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government-owned helicopter, was taken to his Banigala residence by a car amid tight security.
The car in which Mr Khan travelled to his home had been brought from the residence of Punjab Law Minister Basharat Raja.
There are conflicting views about the causes of the emergency landing as some police officials, who reached the spot after getting the news, claimed that the helicopter was forced to make the emergency landing due to “shortage of fuel” whereas another source in the police said that the helicopter had developed some mechanical fault.
Soon after the safe landing, the PTI chairman disembarked from the helicopter and started strolling on the ground. In the meantime, some villagers, mostly the young boys, gathered around him and started chat with him.
The PTI chairman was informed that he had landed in the constituency of former aviation minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan.

Just to attract attention. If it was an emergency landing buzdil khan woud've been sweating profusely. He runs away to the mountains when mosquitoes are prevalent in cities. Come on guys. Ignore him.

Imran Khan was lucky that he survived in the emergency landing of the helicopter, otherwise, travelling through helicopters is equivalent to putting ones life into danger, after two helicopters went down and 12 people got killed in two separate incidents of helicopters in the last month in the country.
It would be more safe for Imran Khan either to travel on passenger air planes or through roads to save his life, instead of taking any more chance to travel through a helicopter in future.

Air travel by plane or helicopter is far safer than road or rail travel.
In any country, especially in poor countries like Pakistan and India, where most cannot afford air travel, more people die on a daily basis in car , bus or train crashes than air crashes.
Even in wealthy countries like the US and Canada, hundreds die every day in road accidents but hardly any daily air crashes occur.

There not be a comparison between air and road travel due to the numbers. Not many people in poor countries like Pakistan can afford to travel by air.
Besides, calling India a poor country shows just how little you know about economics. India is the 5th largest economy on earth.

@Ali, You mean Imran Khan pays the helicopter fare/rent from his meager salary of 2 lacs a month & manages his royal-like life style from that salary.
Imran Khan did not play much cricket after the World up in 1992. Whereas, his cricketer colleagues (like Wasim Akram ...) have worked for decades as commentators, coaches, selectors, analysts & sport writers. However, they still cannot afford a big house like Imran Khan's. What explanation then that he siphoned money from Shaukat Khanum Funds.

Imran Khan have gone out of his mind as what he should do and what not?
He was made PM despite PTI did not won 2018 election with two-third majority, but he became chief executive as a matter of good will and gesture and with the blessings of smaller parties.
It is unfortunate that he is now in a circle of party leaders having vested interest and have been shown wrong way to lead opposition.
Imran Khan will soon learn the lesson that what ever he had done in past was not good for democracy.
