SUKKUR: A head-on collision between a dumper truck and a Suzuki pick-up near Gambat town of Khairpur district on Monday left three men dead and seven other people injured.

The pick-up was carrying followers of Pir Pagara. It was on its way to a shrine in Pir Jo Goth when a dumper truck hit it near Gambat.

According to the area police, three of its riders, Munawar Ali, Moharam Ali and Ali Ahmed Sanjrani, died on the spot and seven others suffered multiple injuries.

The injured were rushed to the Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), where condition of one person was stated to be critical.
