KARACHI: The army has awarded Dr Seemin Jamali, the former executive director of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, with an honorary rank of lieutenant colonel in recognition of her services.

A ceremony in this respect was recently held at the headquarters of Corps V, which was attended by senior officials.

“I am deeply pleased and grateful to everyone who supported me. It’s a great honour not just for me but also for the institution where I performed my duties for over three decades,” she said.
