Three die in Attock

TAXILA: Three people died in separate incidents in Attock.

In the first incident, a man shot dead his wife over a domestic dispute in Jehan Banda village in the jurisdiction of Hazro police station on Monday.

Quoting the victim’s family, the police said relations between the couple were not good. The suspect shot his wife Kalsoom Bibi, a mother of four, and escaped. Later, the police handed over the body to the family after autopsy.

Separately, the body of a 26-year-old man was found in the fields in the same police station’s jurisdiction. Police said a passerby spotted the body and informed the police. Later, his body was shifted to THQ hospital where the deceased was identified as Akhter Ali, a native of Gali Bagh in Mardan.

In another incident, a man was shot dead during a robbery in Mazzar Colony in the jurisdiction of Wah Cantonment police station in the early hours of Monday.

Asad Ijaz, a United Nations official, reported to police that he along with his family was sleeping in the house when three armed men entered his house. Ijaz’s father tried to challenge the robbers after which they shot him. The suspects were able to escape with the looted items including gold ornaments, cash and mobile phones. The injured man was moved to POF hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
