MARDAN: A man shot dead his son, daughter-in-law and their three minor children over a family dispute in Bashkhali Gujraat locality here on Tuesday, police said.

Chora police station officials said that the alleged killer identified as Usman Ghani had developed differences with his son, Farhan, 29, and daughter-in-law, Nabeela, 25, over some dispute, which led to the killing of the couple and their three children.

The slain children were identified as Abdul Ghani, 12, Nabeela, 10, and Rohail, 8.

The police said the suspected killer managed to escape the spot after committing the crime.

The police lodged an FIR against the man on the complaint of the slain woman’s father and began further investigations into the case.

Meanwhile, relatives killed a married woman and her alleged paramour inside her house in Nawa Kallay Gujargari area on Sunday, the police said.

City police station officials said they rushed to spot after getting information about the double murder. They said the deceased man was a resident of Shahmansoor area of Swabi.

The police said the two were killed by the woman’s brother, her husband and a brother-in-law.

The police said they had yet to register an FIR into the case as they were collecting evidence regarding the incident.
