Daska hit by power breakdown

Published December 25, 2005

SIALKOT, Dec 24: Daska remained without power for 13 hours — from 12 midnight to 1pm — on Saturday. Electricity supply to Daska city’s residential, industrial and commercial areas, including Islampura, Model Town, Pasrur Road, Nisbet Road, Awami Road and Daska Kalan remained suspended due to some technical faults in Glotiyaan grid station.

Gepco officials told journalists that the fault at the grid station was caused because of dense fog, mist and cold.
