The Super Mario Bros. Movie trailer

Nintendo’s livestream at New York Comic-Con presentation, screened the first trailer for Illumination’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie was originally supposed to hit theatres in December of this year, but has now been pushed back to April 7, 2023.

The film’s key voice cast includes Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek. Charles Martinet, the original voice of Mario, also has a role in the film.

Blue is getting its first feature film

Nickelodeon’s long-running kids’ show Blue’s Clues is getting its first feature film adaptation.

The trailer features a made-over Blue and several other animated series regulars, such as Rainbow Puppy, Mr Salt, Mailbox, and more, each more articulated, better detailed, and more dynamically lit than their series counterparts.

Blue’s Big City Adventure follows Josh, who gets the opportunity of a lifetime to audition for Rainbow Puppy’s (Brianna Bryan) Broadway musical, and Blue (Traci Paige Johnson) as they skidoo to New York City, where they meet new friends and discover the magic of music, dance and following one’s dreams.

Blue’s Big City Adventure will stream on November 18 on Paramount+ in the US, Canada, UK, Latin America, Australia. It will premiere internationally in 2023.

Marvel announces new Silver Surfer series

The Power Cosmic will soon return to the Marvel Universe. At the New York Comic Con, Marvel officially unveiled Silver Surfer: Ghost Light, the latest tale to feature the fan-favourite cosmic stalwart. Hitting shelves in February, Ghost Light is a five-issues mini-series that is set to bring another major cosmic player into the mix.

“Toni Brooks and her family have moved into the quiet town of Sweetwater. But nothing is quite what it seems with their new home,” the House of Ideas said in its announcement. “What mystery did Toni and her family unravel that would call upon the Sentinel of the Spaceways-the Silver Surfer?! And just who or what is Ghost Light?”

Silver Surfer: Ghost Light is set for release on February 1st.
