ISLAMABAD: Robbers and thieves looted and stole cash and valuables from 48 places of the capital, police said on Monday.

In the first incident, three persons armed with weapons raided the property office of Shahzad Imdad at Banigala and held him up along with another person at gunpoint and looted two mobile phones, Rs2,500 and a motorcycle. Gunmen also raided a hotel of Saeed Ikram at Dhoke Paracha and looted Rs90,000.

In another incident, three robbers raided a general store of Manzoor Ahmed at G-12/2 and looted Rs30,000 and two mobile phones. Three gunmen held up Abdulla Khan in front of his house at G-11/1 and robbed him of Rs35,000 and two mobile phones.

Three robbers intercepted M. Naeen at G-9/4 and snatched a mobile phone along with Rs10,000 from him. Three gunmen also robbed Asmatullah and his friend of their mobile phones at G-8/1.

Similarly, robbers snatched mobile phones and cash form citizens in different parts of the capital.

Moreover, burglars broke into the house of Mudassar Tanveer Khan at Bahria Town Phase 2 and made off with Rs300,000, and 10 tola gold ornaments, the police said, adding burglars also broke into the house of M. Ali at Aghosh Society and stole a motorcycle, gold ornaments, mobile phones and Rs18,000. Likewise, burglars broke into the shop of Shaukatullah Shah at I-10 Markaz and made off with Rs500,000.

Similarly, stole four tola gold ornaments from the house of Sultan M. Waraich at Bukhari Chowk, the police said. Three tola gold ornaments and Rs25,000 were also stolen from the house of Sajid Iqbal Abbasi at Bari Imam.

Besides, thieves stole Rs23,000, two mobile phones and a writ watch from the house of Arshad Ali at Nainsukh and Rs60,000 and two mobile phones from the house of Obaidur Rehman at G-9/4.

Meanwhile, three cars were stolen in Bhara Kahu, Dhoke Abbasi, and H-9 while 20 motorcycles were lifted from Gulberg Green, Bahria Town Phase 6, H-9, I-10/4, F-9 Markaz, I-14/3, Phulgran, G-11/3, Ali Town, F-11 Markaz, Thanda Pani, G-9/2, F-10/1, I-10 Markaz, I-10/4, Khanna and Bari Imam.
