BADIN: A large number of lady health workers (LHWs) and paramedical staff staged a demonstration and sit-in outside Matli taluka hospital in protest against Sindh government’s move to discontinue Corona risk allowance.

The LHWs leaders Rashida Nizamani, Shakila Abbasi and others told media persons that the discontinuation of the risk allowance was a stark injustice with the low-paid health workers.

They said the Corona vaccination would restart next month in which all children till five years of age would be inoculated.

They said that it was callous of the government to stop the risk allowance for the medical staff, who had to put their lives at risk to perform the national duty.

LHWs staged similar protests, rallies and sit-ins in Badin, Kadhan and other towns.
