Sindh CM Murad reviews plans for mega defence show

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Wednesday that the 11th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (Ideas) will significantly contribute towards fostering and promoting Pakistan’s strategic relations with the international fraternity and would serve to achieve the shared objectives of global peace, stability and balance.

The defence exhibition is scheduled to be held in Karachi from November 15 to 18 at Expo Centre.

The chief minister chaired the third meeting of the steering committee at Sindh Secretariat here.

He added that hosting such an event was a testimony to the pledge for encouraging technological growth and exchange in the region.

He reassured of continuous patronage and full support of the Sindh government for successful accomplishment of the mega show.

The meeting was attended by senior representatives from the federal and provincial governments, representatives of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and event manager Badar Expo Solutions.

The second session of the meeting was chaired by the director general of the Defence Export Promotion Organisation (DEPO), Major General Mohammed Arif Malik.

He was apprised of the finalisation of administrative, security and support plans by various government departments, the armed force and law enforcement agencies.

During the meeting, all organisations pledged their full support for holding Ideas-2022.
