Make teachers your best friends

This is regarding the cover article “Make teachers your best friends” by Umema Imran (YW, October 1). The article was worth reading.

We don’t think about the hard work our teachers have to do in bringing out the best in us. Some of us disregard their self-esteem because we consider them someone who is being paid to instruct us. On the contrary, teachers are the second most respectable personalities after our parents in our lives. If a person teaches you a single word he/she deserves to be regarded as a teacher. Countless generations have been able to succeed due to the hard work and guidelines from teachers.

Every teacher tries her/his best to brighten the future of their students and want to see them become successful in life. I am thankful to the writer, as well as the YW team, for publishing amazing content for the youth. So let’s pledge to ourselves that we will always give our teachers the respect they deserve.

The teenage test

This is with reference to the article “The teenage test” by Muhammad Ibrahim Shafi (YW, September 10). I appreciate the writer for jotting down the feelings of teenagers in a nice way.

Teenage is the time when kids feel they are grownups and don’t need any adult supervision. But in reality, we always need our elders’ directions. No matter how old we get, our elders will also be older than us and so will be their experience. There are times when we want brings us in conflict with our elders, who may have a different opinion about it. But that’s okay — it doesn’t mean that we are right and they are wrong, it only means that there is a difference of opinion.

The best thing is to always listen and take advice from them, because they speak from their valuable experience.

Chase your dreams

Not everyone in this world is engaged in chasing dreams. I have seen many people chasing behind their idols, whether on screen or on social media.

But I want to suggest to all the readers that if you chase people, you will be left alone but if you chase your dreams and goals, you will reach the summit of success and then all the people around you will chase you.

Stop compromising on your dreams, no matter what. Don’t get addicted of your idols, but make your dreams your addiction.

The satisfaction you will get from hard work will make you feel proud one day. Invest your time on your passion. But don’t waste your today!
