LAHORE, Dec 26: Four goals by Javed Ahmed helped Okara trounce Attock 13-1 in the fifth Punjab Sports Board U-17 hockey championship for boys at the National Stadium on Monday.
Javed was ably supported by Asif and Usman Aslam, who scored three goals each. Adeel Ahmed, Sajid Hussain and Shafqat Ali added one goal apiece.
Iftikhar scored the consolation goal for the losers.
In another high scoring match, four goals each by Hafiz Bilal and Mohammad Nauman enabled Faisalabad to beat Khushab 12-0 after leading at the half-time 9-0.
Zeeshan Ashraf scored two goals while Ali Akbar and Rizwan Ramzan added one goal each.
Earlier, Rahimyar Khan and Bahawalnagar played a 1-1 draw game.
Bahawalnagar earned the lead in the first half when Mohammad Mohsin scored a goal.
Rahimyar Khan levelled the score through Mohammad Adnan in the second half.
Sahiwal defeated Pakpattan 2-0 with Mohammad Aslam and Mohammad Salim sharing the scoring honours.
A decisive goal by Salim Ali helped Bhakhar beat Layyah 2-1. The half-time score was 1-1.
Mohammad Abbas Khan put the winners 1-0 ahead but Farhan Khan equalised the score before the half time.
Defending champions Toba Tek Singh earned another impressive win thrashing Rawalpindi 10-0.
The winners led the first half 8-0. Mohammad Aamir, Akbar and Mohammad Shahbaz scored two goals each while Mohammad Irfan, Ali, Manzoor Ahmad and Taufiq chipped in with a goal each.
Mohammad Afzal struck the match winner in the second half to help Hafizabad carve out a 2-1 win against Kasur.
The winners took the lead when Atiqur Rehman scored a goal in the first half.
Sarfraz struck the equalizer in the first half before Afzal made the difference.
The winners of first two editions, Lahore registered a 7-0 win over Chakwal after leading first half 4-0.
Imran scored three goals while Salman added two and Atiq and Faheem Ashraf one each.
