BAHAWALPUR: Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman has announced a 15-member Board of Governors of the Bahawalpur Museum.

The governor nominated members – five official and 10 non-official – for three years, says a notification.

According to the notification, Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar is Board of Governors’ chairman and Archaeology Punjab Director-General Dr Fareeha Tajammal vice chairman.

The other official members are: Bahawalpur Museum director Muhammad Zubair Rabbani, the Government Sadiq Egerton (S.E) College principal, and the deputy secretary, information and culture department.

The 10 non-official members nominated on the recommendation of the commissioner are: Chaudhry Abdul Majeed Gill, Dr Abu Bakr, Ms Sumaira Malik, Dr Shahid Hassan Rizvi, Mian Mansoor Hayat Abbasi, Ali Asad, Ms Zara Sahr, Akhtar Abbasi, Zafar Sharif and Dr Rubina Yasmeen.

COURT CASES: Senior judge Justice Shujaat Ali Khan of the Lahore High Court’s Bahawalpur Bench has directed the judges of commercial court in Multan, the district and sessions and senior civil judges of eight districts of south Punjab to expeditiously dispose of cases.

The senior administrative judge communicated with the judges through video-link meetings, says a handout.

The judges informed him about the rate of disposal of cases in subordinate courts and also brought their problems to his notice. Justice Khan directed the authorities concerned to swiftly solve the problems.
