DADU, Dec 27: The chief organizer of the Sindh Employees Alliance, Mr Amanullah Mushwani, has said that a four-hour strike will be observed daily from Jan 1 in all government departments of Sindh to press for acceptance of their demands. He said that jobs should be provided to sons of deceased government employees.

Addressing a workers’ convention at the lawn of irrigation rest house here on Tuesday, he said all employees unions were united at one platform and had constituted Sindh Employees Alliance (Sea) to struggle for their legal rights.

He said Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim visited councillors’ houses, but did not pay attention to resolve genuine problems of the employees.

Leaders of different employees unions Qayoom Shahani, Khan Mohammad Channo, Mohammad Essa, Mohammad Peeral, Rafique Panhwar, Mohammad Morial and Yaqoob Wagan also spoke on the occasion.

They vowed to continue their protest against the Sindh government in case their demands were not be met.

They said the Sindh government had appointed hundreds of influential people illegally and neglected meritorious candidates since 1997.

Earlier, a large number of workers marched on different roads here on Tuesday.

Around 32 employees unions participated in the march.

They were demanding raise in salaries of employees from grade-1 to 16 and job quota for the sons of deceased employees.
