After a video circulating in the media gave rise to speculations of a rift between the PTI leaders Hammad Azhar and Asad Umar, the latter put the rumours to rest and clarified that he was irked because a generator had stopped working.
The video showed Umar making angry gestures during what appeared to be an argument with Azhar atop a container at the PTI’s long march in Lahore. PTI chief Imran Khan and party leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi were also present at the scene.
Referring to the clip in a Twitter post, Asad said while it was being speculated that there were conflicts within the PTI, he was “only angry at the time because a generator had become dysfunctional and another one was taking long to arrive”.
