During his speech in Muridke, PTI Chairman Imran Khan also had a message for the establishment. He said that when former military ruler retired General Pervez Musharraf took over, the people celebrated by distributing sweets.

“But when he gave them (PML-N and PPP) a National Reconciliation Ordinance, he caused us more harm than our enemies,” he roared, pointing out that the establishment had highlighted the corruption of the two parties.

Just because you have decided to side with them, don’t think that the people are “sheep”, he said.

“We can differentiate between right and wrong […] if you stand with these thieves, the people will not stand with you. Look at where the people are,” he exclaimed as he gestured to the crowd.
