Information Marriyum Aurangzeb called former premier Imran Khan a "hypocrite with many faces" as she claimed that the PTI chief offered an extension to army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa to "save his power".

During a media talk in Islamabad, she played video clips of Imran in which he could be heard saying that the army chief was a supporter of democracy.

"Today, your statements have changed. Why? Only because your unconstitutional demands were not accepted," Aurangzeb berated.

She also stressed that the decision to appoint the next army chief was the prerogative of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
