KOHAT: The police claim having arrested eight proclaimed offenders during raids.

DSP Lachi circle Yousuf Khan told reporters here on Friday that district police officer Shafiullah Gandapur had received intelligence-based information about the presence of two POs in Charsadda.

He said that the outlaws, Asim and Yasir, were wanted in murder and attempted murder cases in Kohat, adding they had been changing their hideouts to evade arrest.

DSP Yousuf said that a team headed led by SHO Lachi Qabal Khan was sent to Charsadda, which arrested the outlaws.

Meanwhile, he said the Lachi police also busted a six-member gang of criminals belonging to Kohat and Karak.

The criminals, wanted for murders, kidnapping from ransom, robberies and street crimes, were arrested from their hideout in Shewaki area of Lachi. The police also recovered hand grenades, Kalashnikovs, 12-bore repeaters and pistols from their possession.

They were identified as Younis, Zakirullah, Tehseen, Abid Rehman, Danish and Jawad.
