BAHAWALPUR: Three people were killed and five others were seriously injured in a tractor-trolley-van collision on Ahmedpur East Road near Khanpur Mirchanwala on Wednesday.

According to Rescue 1122, the deceased included Raashid, Naik Zulfiqar Ali, and the van’s driver, while Shahid, Adil Majid, Ghulam Murtaza Amir, and Shadullah were seriously injured.

They were transported to the THQ hospital in Ahmadpur East. The Ahmedpur East police are investigating the incident.

DEATHS:In separate events in the districts of Bahawalpur and Lodhran, four individuals were killed.

Khubaib shot himself to death at Raman Phatak near the city. The police visited the crime scene for legal formalities.

Shehzad Masih leapt in Lodhran in front of the moving Millat Express, which was headed toward Faisalabad.

The body was chopped into two pieces, which the rescuers transported to the Lodhran DHQ Hospital. The body would be given to the family, according to the police.

Near Kotla Musa Khan in the tehsil of Ahedpur East, class nine student Shahzaib was killed by a bus that he attempted to board.

According to the police, the bus conductor shoved him, causing him to fall and be crushed under the bus’s wheels. The driver sped away from the scene. The bus driver and conductor were charged by the police. The body was taken to the THQ hospital in Ahmedpur.

Sona was killed, and pillion riders Sakina Mai and Chinu Mai were seriously injured, when a tractor-trolley struck them on Tailwala Road near village 117/DNB. The tractor’s driver was arrested by police.

CRUSHING SEASON: In pursuance of the government’s decision, the management of a local sugar mill has announced starting the crushing season on Nov 25. It may be recalled that the sugar mill owners announced the beginning of the crushing season once the federal government allowed them to export their surplus stocks of sugar.
