MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas on Thursday reiterated that his government would provide full protection and tax relief to the investors willing to put their money into any commercial venture inthe peaceful territory that offered excellent investment opportunities in different sectors.

“Let me renew my assurance that all basic facilities and protection will be provided to the investors from outside so as to help them establish and carry on their businesses with complete sense of security,” he said at the concluding ceremony of a two-day Investment Conference 2022 in state capital Muzaffarabad under the aegis of the AJK industries and minerals department.

He particularly addressed All Pakistan Textile Mills Association and said its investment in any part of the state would be welcomed.

Both sides resolved that implementation of the MoUs would begin as early as possible.

He said the government was taking steps on a priority basis to tap its rich tourism potential.

Speaking on the occasion, FCCI president Dr Khurram Tariq maintained that these MoUs could have been signed two decades ago if AJK possessed a visionary leadership like that of Mr Ilyas.

“Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry stands by the people of Azad Kashmir and we will advance the process of investment in this beautiful territory,” he vowed.

Lyallpur Warriors Chairman retired Major Taseer Ikram Rana said AJK was a land of great people and the signing of the MoUs was the first step towards realization of the determination of PM Ilyas, on whose special invitation they all had come to the territory.
