DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The municipal authorities on Sunday removed encroachments on 630 kanals of government land in Daraban Bazaar.

Dera deputy commissioner Nasrullah Khan had directed Daraban assistant commissioner Nadir Nazar to retrieve land from the encroachers.

Mr Nazar along with officials of finance department, tehsil municipal administration and police took action against the land mafia. During the operation, 630 kanals of government land worth millions of rupees was retrieved from occupiers in Daraban Bazaar.

Meanwhile, the assistant commissioner also imposed heavy fines on shopkeepers for profiteering in Daraban Bazaar.
