KARACHI: The Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Monday appointed MPA Rana Ansar as the head of its parliamentary party in the Sindh Assembly.

A statement issued by the party said the decision for the new parliamentary party leaders came at a meeting of the coordination committee chaired by convenor Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi.

The party also appointed MPA Ali Khurdeedhi as deputy parliamentary party leader in the Sindh Assembly.

Ms Ansar would replace Kunwar Naveed Jameel, who has been unwell and inactive for the past more than five months due to health issues.
