Five suspects were arrested for killing a young man over robbery resistance in Defence A on Dec 2.

Three unidentified persons entered the house of Ali Raza in early hours and tried to capture his father, Ahmad Raza Khan. When he raised an alarm, Ali came to his rescue but the suspects opened fire at him. He suffered a bullet injury and fell on the ground while the suspects fled the scene. The injured man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.

Cantonment CIA Police arrested Saleem Jobin, Akash, Azeem, Muazim and Abdul Jabbar who confessed to have killed the young man on resistance.

Meanwhile, a woman and her two accomplices were arrested for killing her husband in Sanda.

Mushtaq, a vegetable trader, was found murdered in his house some days ago and a murder case was registered against unidentified persons.

Addressing a press conference, Iqbal Town SP Investigation Aftab Ahmad Phularwan said Mushtaq was not having good relations with his wife, Asma. He claimed she had developed a relationship with Mushtaq’s nephew Qamar Yousuf and they planned to kill him.

On the day of the incident, Mushtaq was sitting in his house when Yousuf along with his friend, Hassan Raza, came and shot him dead.

The SP said a pistol and a motorcycle were recovered from the custody of the suspects who confessed to their crime.
